When Love Came
To My Door
When Love came knocking at my door,
The entrance to my heart,
I knew not then what was in store
Or what Love might impart.
But, open wide I did indeed
And bid Love to come in,
Entrusting Love I did not heed
The fear of reckless whim.
Now glad I am I made the choice
To let not Fear prevail,
For Fear would muffle Love’s sweet voice
‘Neath Reason’s heavy veil.
So should Love beckon in the night,
When Fear is free to play,
Let Love turn darkness into light
And Fear will fade away.
