Since vows and promises
are more than empty words, the choice of an officiant is the most
important decision a couple will make in planning their wedding. The
quality of the relationship between the couple and the
officiant is something we take very much to heart . . . quality is what
makes the difference between a ritualistic ceremony and a joyous, moving
ceremony that can truly serve as the springboard for a lasting
relationship.
Furthermore, we are
committed to administering vows that are consistent with your
values. We strongly condemn the practice of some officiants to use the
ceremony as an opportunity to sermonize or moralize. There should be no
unpleasant "surprises" or awkward moments!
With these considerations
in mind, we specialize in
meaningful ceremonies for those who might describe themselves in one or
more of the following ways:
• "Spiritual" but not necessarily "religious"
• Originate from families who don't share a common religious heritage,
but believe love transcends religious differences
• Do not wish to be subjected to a religious "litmus test"
• Desire something richer in significance than a simple civil ceremony
or ritualistic liturgical ceremony
• Want the ceremony to be a celebration with a blend of dignity, joy,
and sanctity that is befitting of the occasion
• Wish to celebrate the occasion
in a
non-traditional setting
The Pneuma Center does not
try to be all things to all people, but if what we do appeals to you, we
would love to work with you to create a ceremony that fulfills your hopes
and dreams ... whether a simple private ceremony or a richly-textured
ceremony with 200 guests or more.
